We had tons to do in Gardening Club this evening! There were lots of vegetables to plant out as we had some lovely plug plants donated to us. A and M set about doing this with Miss Cooper’s help. They planted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, spinach and leeks. Meanwhile K and L put some potatoes in special planting bags and also planted onions into pots. The rest of the team set about planting the seeds in our mini meadow. We have all worked so hard to prepare this area so it was very exciting to finally put the seeds in. Thanks once again to Meadow in my Garden for providing us with all the seeds free of charge.
Tuesday 12th November 2013: Today was our first Gardening Club session so we were all very excited. We were lucky to have some sunshine, but we still wore our wellies as there had been a lot of rain. The first job was to clear the vegetable patch and trim back the herb garden. Luckily everyone was very enthusiastic and quickly got stuck in. The vegetable patch was soon cleared of the dead plants from the summer time crops and the herb garden looked neat and tidy. We were covered in mud but pleased with all we had achieved.
